A Buzzfeed “19 Anticipated Books That Have Finally Been Released For You To Read”

The final book in the wickedly seductive new Scottish historical romance trilogy from New York Times bestselling author Suzanne Enoch, Hit Me With Your Best Scot!

The MacTaggert brothers have one task:
Find English brides or lose their land!

Coll MacTaggert, Viscount Glendarril, is a big, brawny Highlander who doesn’t like being told what to do—not even by his exasperated English mother who is determined to see her eldest son wedded and bedded. However, when he comes to the rescue of an irresistibly beautiful woman, Coll discovers that he may have found his perfect match...

The challenge isn’t that Persephone Jones is famous, wealthy, independent, and smarter than anyone he knows. The problem is that she isn't interested in marrying any man—especially not a hot-headed Scot—even if he is the only man who seems to understand who she really is even when she’s not sure herself. When Coll learns that Persephone is actually a lady-in-hiding and someone is willing to kill her for what she stands to inherit...Well, Coll has never been one to turn down a fight. When hearts are involved, nothing comes between a Highlander and his lady.

I liked Coll in book 2 and felt his frustration at his parents and the "marry an Englishwoman" edict in that and this book. Here he reluctantly succumbs to his fate and frantically starts his search for a bride. The story is fast paced with good and humorous dialog, which often had me broadly grinning. I found this to be a very entertaining read. I read an ARC I received via NetGalley; the thoughts expressed are my own.

I Love a sexy Scottish Highlander!! Coll MacTaggert is being forced to marry or loose his family estate. “Because you are as stubborn as the rain, and because I don’t think you generally do anything you’ve been ordered to do.” Persephone Jones is not interested in marriage. She is strong and independent. Coll MacTaggert, Persephone Jones reflected, could have been mistaken for a mountain, if mountains were made of muscle and bone and were possessed of a very attractive, if severe, face softened by a deep Scottish brogue. This is a sexy romp with a little mystery and a lot of protective Scotsman.

I enjoyed this story. Coll and Persephone were meant for each other. I loved her independent spirit, her intelligence, and her caring nature. Coll was so sweet and protective, though his temper was a bit volatile. There was plenty of intrigue and danger witty banter, and steamy encounters, and how his family was so supportive, with a little resistance from his mother, made the story entertaining. I recommend this story. I received an ARC through Netgalley, and this is my unsolicited review.
