But while in prison, the cruel system compounded the crimes of his evil abuser, and he suffered at the hands of the prison guards. What happened to him during those months led to him suing the Home Office and Strangeways on his release and winning his case.

This is the story of a sweet-natured boy who grew into a brave young man and refused to allow himself to be a victim any longer.

It's heart wrenching. I think Stuart is such a brave person to stand up and share his story, which undoubtedly is very hard to do. I want to just pick up that child and tell him what a good boy he is and give him a big hug. Men like David should never be allowed get away with such atrocities and despite murder being wrong he got what he deserved.

A true story of perseverance. Stuard is a true inspiration. I really look up to him, reading his story helps me to believe in myself that I can overcome anything. I tried looking him up but unfortunately, there’s not much I can read or interviews I can watch on stuard, as this book was written a long time ago and i’m pretty late to the game. I really became quite obsessed with stuards story, how could anyone overcome all this?? He’s just so strong. Bless his heart I hope he is doing ok I heard he has cancer. Poor thing has been through so much. Wishing him all the best. Book was a 5/5. Excellent read. Couldn’t put it down ❤️

Stuart lives in Manchester with his wife Tracey. He has two children, Matthew and Rebecca, whom he loves dearly. He is continually improving the quality of his life whilst assisting others in recovering from past traumas and addiction.
