Sophie Jackson unterrichtet Literatur an einer Highschool in Großbritannien, hatte jedoch nie literarische Ambitionen. Erst ihre Schüler brachten sie auf die Idee, selbst einmal zur Feder zu greifen. Dass ihr Debütroman, den sie eigentlich nur als Fanfiction konzipiert hatte, derart erfolgreich werden würde, hätte sie sich niemals träumen lassen. Ihren Job als Lehrerin will sie dennoch keinesfalls aufgeben. Sie lebt mit ihrem Mann in Preston.
