About this ebook

My name is Sophie.

This book is about me.

It tells

the heart-stoppingly riveting story

of my first love.

And also of my second.

And, okay, my third love, too.

It's not that I'm boy crazy.

It's just that even though

I'm almost fifteen

I've been having sort of a hard time

trying to figure out the difference

between love and lust.

It's like

my mind

and my body

and my heart

just don't seem to be able to agree

on anything.

I loved this book so much. I got it from a book swap at school. The bad part is my library doesn't have any sonya sones books, and my local library is so far away.😢 I wish all books were free.

The ending is a bit cliché but hey....it's about a freshman girl. Still really loved it!

I love it! The way it's written shows multiple details while still being short and easy to read. I can read it over and over.

About the author

Sonya Sones has written five YA novels-in-verse: To Be Perfectly Honest (A Novel Based on an Untrue Story), Stop Pretending, One of Those Hideous Books Where the Mother Dies, What My Mother Doesn’t Know, and its companion, What My Girlfriend Doesn’t Know. Her books have received many honors, including a Christopher Award, the Myra Cohn Livingston Poetry Award, and a Los Angeles Times Book Prize nomination. But the coolest honor she ever got was when What My Mother Doesn’t Know made it onto the American Library Association’s list of the Top 100 Most Banned Books of the Decade (to see why, see p.46). She lives near the beach in southern California, and only tells the occasional fib. Visit her at SonyaSones.com or follow @SonyaSones on Twitter.
