About the author
Siri Hustvedt (Minnesota, 1955) és llicenciada en Filologia Anglesa per la Universitat Colúmbia. Ha escrit poesia, novel·les i assajos: Reading to You (1982), Els ulls embenats (1992, Premi de la Crítica Internacional al Festival de Cine de Berlín), The Enchantment of Lily Dahl (1996), Yonder (1998), Allò que vaig estimar (2003, Premi de Llibreters del Quebec, Premi Femina Étranger i finalista del Premi Llibreter), A Plea for Eros (2005), Mysteries of the Rectangle (2005), Elegia per un americà (2008), La dona tremolosa (2009), The Eight Voyages of Sinbad (2011), L'estiu sense homes (2011), Living, Thinking, Looking (2012), El món resplendent (2014, Premi Los Angeles Times Book), La dona que mira els homes que miren a les dones (2016) o Records del futur (2019). El 2012 va rebre el Gabarron International Award per Thought and Humanities, el 2014, la van nomenar Doctora Honoris Causa per diverses universitats europees,i el 2019 va rebre el premi Princesa d'Astúries. Imparteix classes a la Facultat de Medicina Weill Cornell de Nova York i col·labora regularment com a columnista a The New York Times i a Psychology Today.
