I love Sidney Bristol. I love her books. the reason I didn't give this book a perfect rating is because I felt it started with a bang and had great moments in between but towards the end it just lost steam. there were a lot of people were introduced unnecessarily and did not add anything to the story. I stopped liking the heroine somewhere along the way because it didn't feel like she was true to herself. she kept saying she was in love with the heroine but her actions did not show. also it did not sit well with me that there is a secret she kept from the hero because we all know how those end. basically what I'm saying is the story felt like it was not happily ever after but more like happy for now

Dangerously Taken is a phenomenal romantic suspense by Sidney Bristol. Ms. Bristol has provided readers with a well-written book furnished with a superb cast of characters. Riley and his team have been sent to get Melody out of the fix she's found herself in. Captured and held hostage. Once rescued Riley and his team struggle to keep her alive. Riley and Melody's story is packed with drama, humor, sizzle, action and suspense. I enjoyed reading Dangerously Taken and look forward to reading more from Sidney Bristol soon. Dangerously Take is book 1 of the Aegis Group Lepta Team Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger. I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary copy of this book that I received from Bookfunnel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Can't give this story 5 stars because characters have contradictory traits. Intelligent military agents who follow their hearts during a battle seems stupid. A good story, probably makes a better movie.
