If they want to survive the magic headed straight for L.A. they will have to combine their strengths, Kera’s discipline, Vig’s loyalty, and the Crow’s sheer love of battle in this thrilling paranormal romance. As a former Marine, Kera never expected to have new battle buddies in a whole different kind of army, especially ones with wings and the reader can’t help but get caught up in all the thrills and chills as Vig struggles to help Kera fit into her new reality. The attraction between Kera and Vig sizzles from every page and the sex scenes are hot and steamy but the relationship has one little problem…he’s a Raven and she’s a Crow. The characters are strong, compelling and demand the reader’s attention from the very beginning and the fast paced smooth flowing plot thrills readers with lots of suspense, action and romance while the emotional turbulence of Kera finding herself in a “winging it” situation adds depth along with quite a bit of humorous chaos. Evil plans that include sacrifices, dangerous battles, explosive tempers and deadly situations causes lots of spine tingling tension and excitement throughout the story and unexpected twists keeps the readers on their toes. The well written scenes and details paint vivid imagery makes it easy for the reader to become completely absorbed in the story while the intriguing events guarantee that there is never a dull moment. Wow! Shelly Laurenston has taken elements of Norse Mythology and fashioned a spellbinding new world full of intriguing characters full of attitude, interesting and unique characteristics, humor, and sizzling passion. The story starts off with a bang and continues with non-stop excitement completely ensnaring me in its web so that there was no way that I could put the story down and I can’t wait to find out what happens next.

Good book, kept me interested to the very end. I didn't give it 5 stars because it was kind of like frat boys and sorority girls playing around. Hated the ending, but now I HAVE to read the next book in the series!
