This is book seven in The Reed Family Reckoning Series and it is Sebastian and Sloan's story and it is a must read. Sebastian and Sloan have so much chemistry that you can feel it sizzling of the pages of this book and I couldn't put it down as it kept you on the edge of your seat wondering what the outcome would be for them. The characters and storyline pulled you in right from the start and kept your attention right until the last one and you felt so many emotions while reading this book and it was so addictive. Sebastian and Sloan were so perfect for each other but with all the secrets will they ever get a chance of being together or will they crash and burn and tear them apart when everything is revealed only time will tell what the outcome will be. This is the first book that I have read by Shayla Black but definitely not the last as it was so well written and engaging and I definitely recommend you read this book and you will not be disappointed. I loved Sebastian's friendship with Evan. He had a lot of guilt and that drove him to do anything for his friend. I loved that him meeting Sloan changed that, even before they even met in person. I could feel his dilemma. While we get Sloan’s point of view, it’s only at the end, and I would have loved to have had her side throughout the whole book as well. However, I loved the complexity of what they were both going through. They were both driven and ambitious and perfect for each other. I didn’t sleep in order to finish this. I stayed up late on Daylight Savings Time when I knew my kids wouldn’t let me actually sleep in an extra hour but boy, was it worth it.

This is the seventh book in the Reed Family Reckoning series and it is a must read. All is fair in love and business, right? Sebastian is a hardened, savvy business man who will do whatever it takes for his best friend Evan and the company they share. However, when a possible threat against the company may be at hand, Sebastian devises a plan to get in front of it. Yet he was ill prepared for Sloane. She is a strong, vibrant woman who has had her share of obstacles but her one focus has always been to save the family business. When these two meet, it is like watching a flame ignite and the two are combustible together. Ms. Black has once again charged her characters with such vibrancy that one is hard-pressed to put this book down. Watching Sebastian and Sloane fight for their respective results is mesmerizing as it is filled with drama, steam, and twists that readers will not see coming. Prepare to immerse yourself in this incredible tale!
