About this ebook

The adventure continues in this fourth book in the New York Times bestselling series.

Strange things are happening at the frozen edge of the world. Conor, Abeke, Meilin, and Rollan have crisscrossed Erdas in their quest to stop the ruthless Conquerors. Only the four of them, supported by the gifts of their legendary spirit animals, have the power to defeat an evil takeover. While chasing down a lead in the cold North, the heroes arrive at a quiet village where not everything is as it seems. Rooting the truth out of this deceptively beautiful place won't be easy-and the team is already out of time. The Conquerors are right behind them.

I love this series! I also love that each book is written by a different author, so you can see each author's different writing techniques. I like this book the best, because Rollan is my favorite character. I think what happened to Rollan is heartbreaking, but what happened to Aidana, Rollan's mother, is also sad. I understand why she works for the Devourer. She and Wikerus having the bonding sickness is so sad! I like the song: West of the sun, north of the drink...in Samis home where she was known, they honor her with each breath, which makes since, because it's Suka's fault that they can live so long. I can't wait to read book 5!

I loved everything from the ice city to Rollans mum trying to kill him and even the walruses that Rollan thought weren't real! The adventure was amazing and Maya thought she wasn't brave but ended up saving the day I think that she would be one of the bravest of the 6. If I were to choose one of the four fallen as my spirit animal it would be uraza or jhi because I like fighting and hunting but sometimes need to calm down. If I were one person it would be melien because she has the most training
