About this ebook

15 Minutes.

That's as long as we think any student should have to spend formatting their papers. Unfortunately, students often spend hours trying to find answers from hard to follow manuals or confusing websites. Whether you want a step-by-step guide to building a title page, suggestions for writing with greater clarity, or freedom from doing internet searches every time you have a question about APA standards, APA Made Easy is the only blueprint that you will need for writing in APA style. This comprehensive writing guide includes illustrated steps for formatting an APA document in: Microsoft Word 2010, Microsoft Word 2011 for Mac, Microsoft Word 2013, and Apple's Pages programs. You will also learn how to build an APA formatted paper from the ground up by understanding:

• How to outline information you've already gathered.
• How to write an essay or research paper from an outline.
• How to write a solid introduction.
• How to use the required headings in a research paper including Abstracts, Method, Subjects and Participants, Materials or Apparatus, Results, and Discussion sections.
• Building Citations within your paper and on your Reference page.

Also included in this guide:

• APA examples and high resolution screen shots to help students correctly format documents within 15 minutes.
• Over 150 completed Reference examples
• Over 60 completed In-Text Citation examples
• How to use Headings effectively in your writing
• Specific examples that cover how to cite new media such as blog posts, emails, websites, online lectures, computer programs, social media and much more.

Very easy to read and more importantly very very easy to understand! It's cheaper than the entire manual and much smaller. It gives you instructions for the writer or technology student. I found the best thing to be about this manual is it goes straight to the point. You don't have to read for hours to understand what you need to be doing. Whether you're starting a paper, in the middle or at the end of one. Not to mention it helps with title pages and your citation page. I LOVE IT!!! And it was ONLY $5.39.

About the author

I am the author of APA Made Easy, a guide to help college students and professionals set up their writing in APA format within 15 minutes. It has enjoyed being the #1 APA guide on Amazon.com’s Kindle Store with the recently released paperback in the top 3. My book, The Big Book of APA Citations and References was released in April 2014.

I have been writing and speaking nearly my entire professional life. Finding meaning and purpose in my life was always more important to me that studying “subjects” in school. In fact, school and I didn’t get along the first half of my life. I graduated near the bottom of my small high school class and had no plans on going to college. Yet, dragged kicking and screaming by my mom, I attended a small community college in northern Illinois, while earning a black belt in Kung-fu. I fully intended on opening my own martial arts studio not continuing on in college.

Then I found my passion in the field of philosophy. Luckily, I had the right people in my life to encourage me to pursue my dreams in the face of those who couldn’t stop asking “What are you going to do with a philosophy degree?” My canned response to that questions was always, “Actually, I am going to take over the world.” I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in the Honors Program at Montana State University with a dual major in Philosophy and Religion, then a Master’s degree in Philosophy of Religion and Ethics from Biola University.

After a few brief years in the corporate world, my desire to coach and teach led me to take a pastoral position at a large church in Salem, Oregon. There, I launched a large public speaking/seminar ministry called the Apollos Forum that drew audiences of 400 – 500 people regularly.

I almost became another college dropout statistic. Instead I earned Master’s degree and landed a job doing what I love against all odds. I want to help students like me find their way, get motivated, and bring out their best.
