It pretty much hit the nail on the head with regard to the condition I find myself in in this world, so I could relate to the message immediately. It's a very powerful and effective opening chapter, which may appear bleak on the face of it, but it's simply realistic, and therein lies the hope it also gives. I like how he parallels the degeneration of the planet and the environment to that of our minds. I've read the entire book through once now and have to say it's the only place I've seen these ideas about the nature of reality, and especially the nature of concepts and constructs of information, expressed so well. Each of us carries leaky toxic waste and psychological time-bombs within the environment and terrain of our own minds. Through meditation we can delve into these minefields and through comprehension we can disarm the traps that otherwise are just lying dormant waiting to cause us and those around us horrible injury.

I really expected much more from this book. What year this book was written? Marxism-Leninism deginerated minds.., what about capitalism, it's not the same?. The cover of this book and name are not resonated with the content of this book at all. Complete waist of money and time. If gnosticism is based on this theory? I don't think it's a real and genuine source to learn about where we came from and who we are. If this religion only open to rich and famous, this is not right knowledge to understand what is beyond of this material world. Gnosticism remind me more practical people society, who are care about material things. Spiritual world doesn't measured by material rough standards.

About the author

The name Samael Aun Weor is Hebrew and is pronounced sam-ayel on vay-ohr. Samael Aun Weor wrote over sixty books, gave thousands of lectures, and formed the worldwide Gnostic Movement, whose members number in the millions. And yet, in spite of his wisdom and generosity towards mankind, he said: "Do not follow me. I am just a signpost. Reach your own Self-realization." His lifelong mission was to deliver to humanity the total and exact science to develop the complete human being, that mysterious and ancient wisdom long hidden in the bosom of every great religion.
