About this ebook

Step back into the Gotham of Tim Burton’s seminal classic Batman movies! Batman ’89 brings in screenwriter Sam Hamm (Batman, Batman Returns) and artist Joe Quinones (Dial H for Hero) to pull on a number of threads left dangling by the prolific director. Gotham becomes torn in two as citizens dressed as Batman and The Joker duke it out in the streets. As D.A. Harvey Dent tries to keep the city together, he targets the one problem tearing it apart: BATMAN! And he’ll get Bruce Wayne’s help in taking down the Dark Knight!

Nice artwork that captures the Burton vibe well, and the story doesn't waste time throwing you into a hypothetical part three to the original film duology. A decent start to this run and can recommend it for anyone nostalgic for those films.

I really liked it, a few times it showned how Harvey's slowly transferring to Two-Face with his actions & how he's using the Coin a lot for his decisions as he also would as a villain... Very nice touch as well how this is staying within the theme of the "Burton Batman Verse". What was also exciting to me was how I could just read this an picture it in my head just like how a BATMAN movie would've been during that time, also nice seeing the beginning of ROBIN... One other thing that shocked me was how the Original likeness of Jim Gordon from 1989 or 1992 wasn't used like it was done for Bruce Wayne & Harvey Dent. Still a great 1st issue though.
