Having read some books by Sabarna Roy begote, this book came as a surprise to me because its quite a different genre from what he usually writes. Thats also the reason why I went for this one. This is co authored by Kaustav Ray Chaud and is a non fiction book. The book is basically about the technologies emerging today in the water field. The science and engineering behind it all. Whether water consumption or conservation and the various developments regarding the same. The smart technology thats evolved now and the products available today are described in detail. It also mentions of the environmental concerns that preceeds or suceeds them and also the measures and other developments and solutions that can be taken regarding the concerns. Overall very informative and interesting too to learn.

I loved the rain water harvesting part, as it is very important for present day. Also the detailed pictures of different machines and diagrams of procedures helps to understand the matter better.

A great and well researched book on water sustainability and how we can achieve or overcome the water shortage problem in much less time with great long term efforts. Must read and informative

Sabarna Roy: Sabarna Roy is a trained Civil Engineer and passed out with a First Class Honours Civil Engineering Degree from Jadavpur University in 1988. He is presently working as Senior Vice President and is in the 26th year of his employment with Electrosteel Group.

He has a technical book, titled: Articles on Ductile Iron Pipelines and Framework Agreement Contracting Methodology published by Scholars’ Press in European Union with two of his Co-authors, which have been translated into 8 major European languages.

Sabarna Roy is an author of critically acclaimed bestselling literary fiction of seven published books. They are: Pentacles; Frosted Glass; Abyss; Winter Poems; Random Subterranean Mosaic: 2012 – 2018; Etchings of the First Quarter of 2020, and Fractured Mosaic.

He is presently working as Senior Executive in Business Development and is in the 3rd year of his employment with Electrosteel Group.

He is working very closely with Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran; Water Resources Department, Maharashtra; Water Resources Department, Goa; Water Resources Department, Gujarat; Sewerage & Infrastructural Development Corporation of Goa Ltd; and other public Water Infrastructure Utilities.

He is an active participant in the multifarious activities of International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage, World Aqua Congress, Water Digest, Smart Waste Water Solution and Central Board of Irrigation and Power.
