I started watching the show first and fell in love with it. The unfortunate part of it is the show lost its luster to me around the break of the third season so I slowly stopped being interested in the series. Out of sheer curiosity I decided to purchase the first volume and all I have to say is, wow. I read it straight through and loved every second of it. Reading the graphic novel has now reinstated my interest in the walking dead series and I look forward to continuing diving into this universe.

I felt the dialog was rather stilted, but then I thought of real life and people do typically talk in short sentences. Fun. Nice to read after I've watched the show. I have more volumes to read as I wait for the next season to start.

The only reason I gave a three is bcuz u cut me off and I know it gets sooo much better. It's my first look at the comic and reminds me of all those Tales from the Crypt I used to read. That I wished I'd kept. Pretty weird for a chick back in the day. I was in my own literary world any how. All I wish is that I read more of the "classics" cause its hard to work up feeling for them now. Don't worry ,This is one classic I'll be reading from Vol.1 as opposed to Season 1 for a change.
