About this ebook

Winner of the 2011 Diamond Gem Award for Trade Book of the Year

In the Walking Dead universe, there is no greater villain than The Governor. The despot who runs the walled-off town of Woodbury, he has his own sick sense of justice: whether it's forcing prisoners to battle zombies in an arena for the townspeople's amusement, or chopping off the appendages of those who cross him. The Governor was voted "Villain of the Year" by Wizard magazine the year he debuted, and his story arc was the most controversial in the history of the Walking Dead comic book series. Now, for the first time, fans of The Walking Dead will discover how The Governor became the man he is, and what drove him to such extremes.

The characters in this book are incredibly dumb. They're in a zombie infested area, and they choose to do things such as shoot a a trapped zombie, which is a waste of ammo, rather then take it out quietly with their axes, or just simply walk away. Then they have the nerve to act surprised that the sound attracted zombies. As the book goes on their stupidity never lets up. The characters aren't only idiotic, but also have the same personality as a block of wood. If you're a fan of the comic or the TV show, skip this book.

Especially if you're a walking dead fan of the comic and the show as well. It's so weird to find out how close rick and the group have been behind the governor. Makes you wonder what could have happened if they would have ran into each other before Woodbury. (Sorry if this review comes off as somewhat of a spoiler didn't intend for that if it did...)

I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS BOOK. It is amazing. I would take this book over the tv show any day ( and trust me, thats saying A LOT). It is so suspenseful and you really connect with the characters. It definetly compliments the show ( i am trying to finish the book soon, the governor will appear on the soon!) I dont favor reading but i cannot put this down. Totally worth it. Also be weary of reciws as some of them have major spoilers.
