About this ebook

Like What Dreams May Come, which inspired the upcoming movie starring Robin Williams, Somewhere in Time is the powerful story of a love that transcends time and space, written by one of the Grand Masters of modern fantasy.

Matheson's classic novel tells the moving, romantic story of a modern man whose love for a woman he has never met draws him back in time to a luxury hotel in San Diego in 1896, where he finds his soul mate in the form of a celebrated actress of the previous century. Somewhere in Time won the World Fantasy Award for Best Novel, and the 1979 movie version, starring Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour, remains a cult classic whose fans continue to hold yearly conventions to this day.

Never Read the book, LOVED the Movie although the covers different than the one in the Movie, Bid Time Return was used in This, and one other Movie. Loved the Movie, but could not figure out the Pocket Watch In the Movie, it is just there. GREAT Story, Great Possibilities. You can travel through time, Out of Body.

Very engrossing story. The vivid descriptions of places, scenic views people and in particular, the various portraits Richard Collier has seen are such that they draw you into the story. Each description, each observation keeps you thumbing through the pages to get more information. I've seen the movie "Somewhere In Time". And from the very first time I saw this movie I fell hopelessly in love with the characters and story. I've watched this movie every time it has been shown on my cable channels, sadly I haven't seen it in the last few years. If I could find this movie on DVD I would most definitely purchase it!! I am so glad I ran across this book in my Google Books selections!!

A lovely read with good insight. I must say the author had me struggle through some of the chapters and I was so hoping that the end will give us a better insight. Still this is a well written book. Being made into a movie really did this book credit.
