The book had good moments when it was about her problems as a Mexican immigrant and her struggles. But her sex and relationships experiences had me rolling my eyes she talked about it so much it was annoying. Its obvious she has fantasies about tall men she always mentions that but why do I care tall this tall that jeez! No one cares about your dumb sex life/love life. I'm here to read a immigrant struggle as a Mexican American with immigrant parents I'd thought the book would mainly be about that not some erotica! If I wanted erotica I'd read a book with erotica don't read.
About the author
Reyna Grande is an award-winning author, motivational speaker, and writing teacher. As a young girl, she crossed the US–Mexico border to join her family in Los Angeles, a harrowing journey chronicled in The Distance Between Us, a National Book Critics Circle Award finalist.
