About this ebook

Kirito awakens in a vast, fantastical forest filled with towering trees. In his search for clues to the truth of his surroundings, he encounters a young boy who seems to know him. He ought to be a simple NPC, but the depth of his emotions seem no different than a human. As they search for the boy's parents, Kirito finds a peculiar memory returning to him. A memory from his own childhood, of this boy and a girl, too, with golden hair, and a name he should have never forgotten--Alice.

Stop now, do not continue. This is the beginning of a very long story arc. It is not worth it. While good, the author spends way way too long on character and world building and not nearly enough on story progression. The arc should have taken three books maximum. Instead it has taken six and will likely take two more before he is done. If you want to spend your money to spend just a little more time with Kirito, (not nearly enough), then the story is entertaining. But the rambling nature of the books is way beyond what is necessary. You really aren't missing anything. Stick to the first 8 and be done.

Absolutely enjoy the first story of the underworld it's so intense I couldn't stop reading and just loved how with futuristic tech it leads up to modern era where we could see something like this happen! I love the humor with most characters it's done thing that never shows in the anime where it doesn't matter but I do enjoy it time to time and many clues on how the peices are put together before you know what forms next?

It's so insane to realize that this novel came out just after the show began. Alicization is one of those stories that just hits so well.
