What an absolutely amazing storyline! 'The Ties That Bind' is book 22, yes, I said 22, in the epic "Brie's Submission" by Red Phoenix. If you've read any of Ms. Phoenix's work, then you know what to expect. If you haven't, which for the life of me I can't imagine why not, then let me explain. We've watched from the very beginning when Brie was a naïve young lady with a curiosity for BDSM grown into a strong, intelligent, successful, and beautiful woman in her own right who has whole-heartedly given her complete submission to her Dominant, Sir Thane. That being said, we've also watched Sir grow into himself, not only as a Dom, but as a loving, giving, caring, and fully confident man. Life has not always been easy for the Davis household and yet Red Phoenix has brought to life, for many of us, the definition of a D/s relationship at its finest. Even after 22 books, I can't seem to get enough of this magnificent couple nor their circle of friends from the Submissive Training Center. Each story is new and fresh plus there isn't one, this one included, that hasn't touched me down to my soul. I just loved it!!

It just keeps getting better… The plot continues to thicken, and Res Phoenix does not fail to keep her readers begging for more. Surrounded with the love of family and friends, there is nothing Brie cannot endure. Karma is served up well to one of Brie’s enemies but there is no way it is the end. The scene at the end of the book is blistering hot and reminds us of the chemistry Sir and Brie share. If you have not read the supporting character books in the series, you must read them before this book to understand story line references.

The first chapter is named appropriately, Ambush. Starts out with thrilling suspense. Finding out that Rytsar has a panic room with Brie and Hope in mind. To say my heart is pounding would be an understatement. The fun is just starting and the tone is set. This book has all the feels. There is sorrow on a couple of fronts. Heartwarming scenes and Hot sex scenes. Justice finally getting served. I was jumping up and down doing a fist bump, but there is underlying peril. Oh, and you get to meet the newest member of the Davis family. To say the least I was definitely left wanting more.....
