the first half of the book was constant drama, and sexual tension between Xaden, and violet. Everything important that happened during this portion of the book had so much less focus than their relationship the entirety of the plot during the first half fell flat. When the plot finally starts advancing because Violets focus is so one dimensional that we the readers actually get very little of the actual story since she could care less if every living being with a pulse is lying to her if Xaden refuses to tell her every detail about himself including, and not limited to every action he's taken since puberty. More downfalls during this book include throw out everything you think you know about dragons. They lie harder than the humans they refuse to keep bonding to. Violet has had 2 signats this whole time mostly because the plot armor is strong in this book, and lastly don't expect anything to make since everything comes second to the 4 smut scenes.

Fourth Wing was so much better. Iron Flame dragged on and on. Xaden and Violet were constantly fighting. It was too much drama. Tairn held most of this book for me. I think this could have been a much shorter story. I was hopeful but was ultimately disappointed.

Why did I do this to myself?!!! Like honestly why! I should've listened to myself when I said 'wait until the third book is out' but noooo I had to read the second book and now I have to wait in pure agony for the third book. Ughhhh. This is torture absolute torture. Overall I loved the book, but if you like pain then please feel free to read this book now and wait with me for the third book to come out :)))
