he got away with murder, he is a thug and will always be a thug..!!! They say everything in sports is forgiven of winners, from Kobe Bryant and Ben Roethlisberger all the way back to Ty Cobb. But the story of the halo that has come to rest upon the head of Ray Lewis is more than that. The man defies explanation and logic. In June 2000 Fulton County Superior Court Judge Alice D. Bonner approved a deal allowing Lewis to avoid murder charges and jail time by pleading guilty to misdemeanor obstruction of justice. Lewis was sentenced to 12 months’ probation, the maximum sentence for a first-time offender. As part of his sentence he agreed to testify against two co-defendants. They didnt just lock him up for nothing, and The average "joe" would have not had the chance for a "deal". To this day, no one has served time for the stabbing deaths of 24-year-old Richard Lollar and 21-year-old Jacinth Baker.. He should have been proscuted!!! Anyone else would have..This calls for question. I feel this is why he is humble, he knows he was lucky!! Once again, the police did their job locking him up, but the Judge, as do most, slapped him on the rist. Why is this man praised as a legend? Why was a deal made? was the Judge paid off? These are questions that should be answered. And Baltimore loves him. He was locked up with a murder charge people. Is this a role model?

one of the best books i have ever read. Its more than just football but about the life of a man who has been though so much and never gave up. Ray Lewis' story and life experinces can be used as a guide on how to persaveir and be the best person you can be.

Ray Lewis is widely considered to be one of the most dominant defensive players in the history of the NFL. Lewis led the Baltimore Ravens to victory in Super Bowl XXXV (where he was named Super Bowl MVP) and again in Super Bowl XLVII, in what would be the final game of his career. The Ravens’ all-time career leader in tackles and fumble recoveries, Lewis was selected for the Pro Bowl thirteen times (a record for linebackers) and named AFC Defensive Player of the Year three times. Today, Lewis devotes his time to being a father as well as an analyst for the NFL on ESPN.
