Complicating my choice is the fact that someone is trying to destroy the warlock coven. If I don't stop them, the warlocks will be annihilated. The task seems impossible until Gerard Freshwater, a distractingly handsome witch, explodes into my life. He's determined to make me see that being a witch isn't just the best option, but the only option.

Ratings and reviews

A bit of struggle getting through the first few chapters. The writing feels a little immature, like a slightly cleaned-up fan fiction. The protagonist feels a little Mary Sue, so powerful and easily taking on a handful of warlocks, and annoyingly cocky. And conveniently special due to being born by union of witch and warlock. I'm not hooked enough to read more to find out what's the difference between them. I've read other better, more polished urban fantasy. The left justified text on Google Books, with the unpolished font style don't help the reading experience. Luckily I got this set on a penny sale.
