About the author
Rabindranath Tagore bzw. war ein indischer Philosoph, bengalischer Dichter, Maler, Komponist, Musiker und Brahmo-Samaj-Anhänger. Tagore erhielt 1913 den Nobelpreis für Literatur und war damit der erste asiatische Nobelpreisträger.
