Ratings and reviews

I enjoyed this series, which I first read in the late 1980s. I thought it was creative and I enjoyed the journeys to different places as well as the challenges faced. It introduced me to the concept of direct vs indirect methods of communication; which mirror some differences between various human societies and cultures.

Each of these books was a great SF read in itself 30 years ago, and each, though of slightly different treatment, still was also petty steamy for the times anyway!

Enjoyable and at times thought provoking as it was when I read it in my 20s some 40 years ago
