I’ve gotten to the 3rd book and I just can’t force myself to finish it. The writing, plots and pace are overall very food. I like the characters and the story. But there are just too many inconsistencies with characters and the yo-yo plots. I mean how many times can the same person make the same mistakes over and over and over and over…. I was was past dune with the predictable and unnecessary 180s. Oh no he’s captured in a silly way, released, captured, escaped. Can you guess what’s next

The best book series I have ever read in my life. Been a fan for years, don't know how many times I've reread the series via the paper versions but I had to purchase the digital so I can read whenever for the rest of my life.

The beginning of the series was enthralling, well written and fresh. I couldn't have rated it less than 5 stars. Then it seemed to drag, the author apparently not entirely sure how the series should progress. It ended up following a few boring tropes and I feel the story had squandered some potential. A live action series with some different takes could make this a perfect story. Overall well worth the read, creative.
