About this ebook

One thousand years have passed since Vampirella was last spotted, doing what she does best: defending the world from threats both mystic and evil. Now, she's poised to make her fateful return, but the world that awaits her is unlike anything she might expect... or even want to defend! Written by acclaimed comics, novel, and television writer Paul Cornell (This Damned Band, Doctor Who) and illustrated by the masterful Jimmy Broxton (Goldtiger, Knight & Squire), "Forbidden Fruit" is a mind-blowing odyssey for horror comics' most iconic heroine! Collecting issues 1-6 of Vampirella (2017) series.

Same complaint about this that I had with Issue #0 of this Vampie run, Google doesn't have a CLUE WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT UNDER YHE READ MORE DESCRIPTION WHEN IT COMES TO WHAT ISSUES THIS COLLECTS! First, it collects issues #0-5 which is written on the 3rd page of this book for everyone to read IF GOOGLE BOOKS STAFF HAD DONE THEIR JOB A WASTED A MOMENT OF THEIR PRECIOUS TIME CHECKING THIS PAGE! Every graphic novel VOLUME that COLLECTS multiple issues into one ALWAYS CONTAINS A PAGE WITH THIS INFO just one or two pages after the cover, ANYONE WHO HAS EVER READ SUCH A COLLECTED VOLUME HAS SEEN ONE. This page also clearly lists this as Vol.#4 NOT Vol.1,#39, to ID this as Vampie storyline #4! I rarely buy from Google Books because they're so screwed up, if I find something interesting I price & info compare it on Amazon Kindle where, 99% of the time I buy it as I prefer the way the Comixology app zooms in panel-by-panel rather than Google's artwork-blocking bubble-zoom!

Of the books I've read through, this was my least enjoyed. The art [covers excluded] seems significantly lower quality, the story is incohesive, and the character now embodies "modern values" which seems odd given a vampires undead timelessness.
