good trilogy, but I gotta say: every single time a character "cocks their rifle" during a speech or whatever pulls me out of the story. why do people always head into battle with firearms that aren't loaded? it is clear the author doesn't know how firearms are used.

Did anyone purchase this book for $3.99? I started reading the free sample and then went to purchase and the price jumped up to $16.18! If anyone has proof that vote was 3.99 I would love to have it!! Great sample otherwise and would love to continue reading it!
