About this ebook

In the United States, where we have more land than people, it is not at all difficult for persons in good health to make money. In this comparatively new field there are so many avenues of success open, so many vocations which are not crowded, that any person of either sex who is willing, at least for the time being, to engage in any respectable occupation that offers, may find lucrative employment.

This was a fantastic book that will impart Barnum's wisdom in a simple way so everyone can understand. Even though it was written over 100 years ago, the principles he explains are still very relevant. I was so happy to have found it!

This has all of the very same advice that today's personal finance books have, but you can see how it was implemented in the 19th century. It also contains some very interesting advice on guiding children in their education and choice of a career that I think is still valid today. If you like personal finance books, but are also curious to know history at street level, this will be a terrific book for you.

The book is excellent!!!
