About this ebook

Edward Kenway sets out to become a pirate and finds himself drawn into the centuries-old battle between the Assassins and the Templars in this novel based on the Assassin's Creed™ video game series.

“I was spellbound by the hooded man at work. Mesmerized by this agent of death, who had ignored the carnage around him by biding his time and waiting to strike.”

It is the golden age of piracy and the New World beckons. Edward Kenway—the brash young son of a wool merchant—dreams of gold and cannot resist the lure of a life of glory on the high seas.

When his family homestead is attacked, there seems like no better time to escape, and Kenway soon establishes himself as one of the deadliest privateers of his day.

But greed, ambition and betrayal follow closely in his wake. And when evidence of a crippling conspiracy begins to surface, threatening to destroy everything that he holds dear, Kenway can’t resist the urge for retribution.

I rarelly pick up a book and find it interesting let alone finish one. But this book was well written. The plot is amazing it even ties in parts of the game. I played the game while at the time reading the book and it gives you these different side of Edward Kenway and all the characters. With games such as Assassin's Creed Black Flag and Oliver Bowden books backing up the character and game there is no question why Ubisoft is the best game company right now!

Every chapter makes you want to play the game so badly.Even after I beat I was reading the book and it was like the game was yelling "Hey Tyler come play me you won't regret it." That's how awesome this game is.

Incredibly well written. It's great seeing into Edward's head, AND we get pre-game stuff, like how Edward met Caroline, his beginning years if sailing, what his family is like... also, we get some Kidd and Kenway bonding through narration. And this just in: Edward Kenway isn't an idiot! The clues he picks up...well, you'll know. Everything is wonderful. I'd buy this book 10 times over.
