It is with great pleasure that I am inviting publishers to submit titles (published in 2011) which you would like to be considered for the prestigious BAAL Book Prize. Full details of the application and review process are available here. This announcement will also be posted on the BAAL web pages. A shortlist will be posted on the same web pages before our annual conference, which in 2012 will be held at the University of Southampton. I do hope that you will consider submitting titles. For the 2010 prize, we received 33 books from a total of ten publishers and the winning entry was The Handbook of Language and Globalisation by Nikolas Coupland (Ed.) and published by Wiley-Blackwell.
