Wow, I loved this book. This is a very fast paced political thriller that I couldn't put down - it kept me up late into the night until I finished it. I loved the characters, especially Brooke, who is a talented woman and Major in the Marines. She took a different path from her family and made her own way, but that put her in the cross hairs of Muslim extremists and has them actively trying to kill her. Because of this, she is thrown into a variety of dangerous situations and forced to partner with people she would normally rather see criminally prosecuted for their actions. However, as the proverb states, sometimes "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." This leads to Brooke having to face difficult moral challenges and decisions on how to preserve her humanity while making those choices. This the third book in the Brooke Grant series, but is a stand alone novel, however, the series is so good that you really owe it to yourself to read them all. This is a must read for fans of the genre. The authors are on my must read authors' list.
