I've always had issues with church. But when I replace the word 'Christ' with the word 'imagination', everything falls into place & everything I heard/learned in church not only makes sense, but has a new & deeper meaning!

It seems the author is doing his best to explain that Jesus Christ is in the imagination only and imagination is the key to reaping the salvation that only Jesus Christ can provide. The concept of Faith escapes the author.
