Something went wrong... The sample won't display past a certain early page. It's a good thing I didnt buy a digital copy yet, huh? I suppose I shouldnt be surprised, since this isnt the first time Google won't let me look at a book I'm considering buying, even though they claim to have a free sample preview available. I suppose I'll just order this one for half this price (maybe less) as an IRL used book. Digital copies are kinda' worthless anyways, since they're subject to software and hardware errors, ToS legal BS, fad-based political censorship, and other forms of human stupidity. All I need to read a real book whenever I want is a paper copy of that book and a GD candle. I can have both things at my house tomorrow. Digital copies should be much cheaper, since you can't fully depend on a digital copy to actually be available when you want to read. Like now. I wanted to read now. But... nope! The digital copy is broken. 😩

Much like Sandman, this series from Mr. Gaiman was a refreshing offering from a mainstream comic book publisher. It helped win this underground-purist fan of Love and Rockets, Mr. X, The Badger, and Moonshadow over to the Vertigo/DC thing (at least to the darker bits); which was no mean feat and no mistake.

Artwork is fantastic, I didn't really enjoy this story much back in the day, unlike gaimans other work.
