About this ebook

The Western Kingdom of Neriah, under King Sonin, is a prosperous outpost on the fringes of the considered barbaric lands. While its citizens lead a peaceful life, they are disported by Aitan, a famous errant storyteller with the exceptional art of telling uncommon tales.

Unfortunately, war comes to Neriah, as a new propitious situation lures the new ambitious tyrant Pharesse, the undisputed leader of the Eastern Lands, on a conquest mission to rule all lands to the west. Against an unprecedented military effective, Neriah finds itself under an unexpected siege, leaving Sonin, lost and out of options. With much more at stake, he is forced to consider, unwillingly, capitulation, as all negotiations fail.

However, in the nick of desperation, Aitan steps in. Armed with his stories and unconventional approaches, a cunning plan is born to try and save the kingdom.

It isn’t often that I read a story as well-written as this one was. The plot is eventful, fun, interesting and the pacing of the plot throughout the novel is simply exquisite. The tedious job of weaving the storyteller’s tales throughout the plot of the book is done to perfection. Characters are fascinating as well as likable. It can be quite an obstacle for writers to create characters that the reader truly cares about but Nash does this seamlessly. The characters draw you in with ease, and I found myself rooting for them all. Most of them undergo some sort of transformation during the novel, which is, of course, the whole point of their story. There were many characters throughout the story, but Nash did a good job of making them stand out rather than being confusing. An excellent page turner which many readers will find memorable as many of the short stories offer excellent tales worthy of recounting. Very impressed by this first-time author

It's hard to find excellent reads for free, but when i blew my budget away, I had to content myself with free books and i am happy i did. This allowed me to find this one. The many short stories is what keep me going and the grand story was really interesting. The Syllable of Stance is just what i was looking for. It was as engaging as i expected it to be. I recommend this one if you are going to burn the midnight oil during these trying confinement times

What a pleasant surprise! Went into this one because I love short stories and I was no disappointed at all. The over arching story as depicted by the author beautifully brings everything all together nicely. My favorite story was the Monarch's Butterfly. Hope to see more work from this Nash Auna

About the author

Nash Auna has had the luxury of living in many countries as his parents had a nomadic life. This also made him a polyglot, cognizant of many cultures and having first hand knowledge of many places. At a young age, he was told he could write and tell stories as well and what a treat came out of it all when he spliced his experiences and knowledge of the world he knew to the stories he imagined for his audience. Starting out with articles, later a dare pushed him to pen his very first collection of short stories that forever changed his life and captured the imagination of many others. Since that time, his appetite grew stronger and a dream was born. Although he has many articles published and having a career that brought him to write many dissertations, scientific papers and a thesis, Nash remains a humble man of many words and great thoughts, aching to be put to paper. Stuck in the solitude of seldom silence but armed with a pen and keyboard, he is here to battle the sanity of interest for your pleasure and entertainment. Writing will forever be a labor of love and more than a hobby for Nash, as he strives for more with each piece he writes. Hoping that his faithful readers will enjoy his works, he hopes to always be on the level of their expectations, while thanking them for their faithful devotion to his work and candid attention.
