About this ebook

“Belongs on your must-read list. This novel is a gem.” —Omaha World-Herald

Nancy E. Turner's unforgettable These Is My Words melds the sweeping adventures and dramatic landscapes of Lonesome Dove with the heartfelt emotional saga of Oldest Living Confederate Widow Tells All.

A moving, exciting, and heartfelt American saga inspired by the author's own family memoirs, these words belong to Sarah Prine, a woman of spirit and fire who forges a full and remarkable existence in a harsh, unfamiliar frontier. Scrupulously recording her steps down the path Providence has set her upon—from child to determined young adult to loving mother—she shares the turbulent events, both joyous and tragic, that molded her, and recalls the enduring love with cavalry officer Captain Jack Elliot that gave her strength and purpose.

Rich in authentic everyday details and alive with truly unforgettable characters, These Is My Words brilliantly brings a vanished world to breathtaking life again.

I was unable to put this story down! The author does an amazing job using a journalling format that works to create characters that seem to truly come to life. Sarah's growth in her literacy and her progression from an innocent young girl to a strong, independent pioneer woman (hero!) is executed flawlessly. So much so, you will find yourself forgetting this is a work of fiction, not a memoir. Wonderful piece of American history come to life!

I have read the hard back copy of this wonderful book and absolutely enjoyed it and read it in 3 days. I couldn't put it down. I dont have the copy anymore and I wanted to read it again so I got the ebook. I have to say that the ebook cut out so much of the story. The ebook is not work the price. If you want the WHOLE story you need to purchase the actual book not an ebook. If I had not read the hard copy I wouldn't have enjoyed the story that much at all. I want my money back so I can purchase another hard copy.

I enjoyed this book so much. Its not the best book ever, its not a complex plot. But its simple, its original and it was a great read, you grow attached to the family, when I put it down I couldn't wait to pick it up again.
