About this ebook

Freshly returned from his first-ever goblin hunt, Noor is tasked with accompanying Lynne and Ines to the nearby nation of Mithra. But with sinister forces acting behind the scenes, will they even manage to get there? Is the royal capital ready to withstand the nefarious schemes that threaten to destroy it? And, above all else, do poisonous toads make for good eating?!

Whatever the case, our humble hero is just glad to be riding in a coach for the very first time—and he’s not about to let a little thing like a deadly assassin get in his way!

So far I'm very much enjoying the series. It has a cute set up and the main character is sweet in a way I was not quite expecting. The set up very much does remind me of "Suppose a Kid from the Last Dungeon Boonies Moves to a Starter Town" where the MC is super powerful, but because his frame of reference for what constitutes "strong" is so skewed, he does incredible things that to him are basically nothing. In that sense if you did not like the MC from the "Boonies" series, approach with caution. In "Party" though, the MC feels more ground in a way that doesn't feel like it's played for comedy. There are definitely moments where the "Parry" MC has wild misunderstandings because they have zero awareness of the world, but so far it hasn't given me the same vibe of "this bit is getting old" but more "this guy has had no reason to even know about any of this ever".

This volume also ends with a nasty cliffhanger. It is pretty good. Lots of backstory flashbacks. The hero still thinks he is about as weak as a child, while he keeps taking on S class and greater opponents.
