At chapter 18, I hated the female lead so much, I was hoping she would die soon. So, I quit. I guess I can't stand that so many writers follow the "obnoxious, petulant and stupid equates to strong, confident woman" motif. Few writers get it right and this one is no exception. It's sad to think that young women think this is how truly strong women behave. Apparently, they have never really met a strong woman. Sad.

The writing is so-so. the characters are a bit flat and not very interesting. I did not feel any chemistry from the leads at all. the story was also kind of blah. I stuck with it just to finish it, but I won't be reading any others. I also stumbled upon several grammatical spelling errors and wonder how much editing the book went through.

I finished all 7 books in this series. I loved the characters and how they all tie in together. Books 1 and 2 had me hooked, book 3 made me think things were getting a little repetitive but then book 4 came in with some differences and twists that got me hooked again. I finished the collection and even tho I was overall happy with the conclusion, I was also left with so many questions that I wish were answered. These being mainly about the bonding of the mates and what that means for the women (after the information revealed in book 6) Why Drakons are attracted to these specific women (you'll figure out what I mean after the revelation in book 3) and then book 5 brought up some questions about children... without some of these things answered, the series ended with me just feeling kind of incomplete but happy I read the books.
