Ratings and reviews

There are so many mistakes in this series that it is driving me wild. The author repeats entire plot points as if they never happened previously. They reuse the same phrases over and over again, making this series a dull, eye-blistering read. There are several continuity issues related to time frames mentioned in the books. The same distances can take two different characters days or weeks to cross. I'm not even sure if this author has an editor, or even someone to proofread their work. If you want my advice, dont even bother. This series is not worth the effort or your investment.

You'd think after writing 12 books in this series and many other series this author or even his publisher might try a spelling and grammar checker. Or maybe just reread it once to make sure the correct names are being used. Maybe even cut out all the repetitious repeatingrepeating repeatedly. Oh never mind, I guess only a professional author would go to all that trouble. I mean us readers are too dumb to notice right?

THe writer does not coordinate times. How big is the Ring anyway. Or the Empire for that matter. Characters seem to be able to travel distances that would take months in mere hours or days. The writer repeats the same phrases over and over ("I shall think of him as my brother") or words to that effect. Every dude in the book falls in love literally at the first sight of a female and vows to marry them. The age of Thor and Gwen (remember he started when he was 14 and by now his is no more than 15) is just ludicrous considering what goes on in the books. It is a good story. Wish the books were written better and maybe a 6 book series, not 9. Buy if you want easy reading,,,,no Tolkien or R.R. Martin here
