Ratings and reviews

An infantile, predictable plot. Characters face insurmountable odds, with everything torn away from them, yet suffer most from shallow development and fantastical, superhuman powers. With the number of grammatical and literary errors, it is impossible for me to believe this author can be the "#1 bestselling" of anything. Recommend this one for the bin, not in a permanent library. Skip it, you're not missing anything in this read.

The stories had the potential to be awesome. The idea behind the plots do sound awesome. Though, the reality of the books themselves are far removed from that could be awesomeness. Characters are too linear, they lack depth leaving them as empty carcasses with one thought minds that keep me from getting emotionally involved withthe characters. Not only do the characters lack substance but thereis nothing else to draw you into these 'literary' worlds. My senses are not provoked. The characters must not see, smell, taste and feel very much. They mostlyjust heareach other talking along withtheir own incessant chatter within their minds. It all goes back to linear characters. Horrible 'skills' on behalf of this author. Would not recommend, will not read anything else by the author.

I love the story, but I felt like the author used a thesaurus way too much. Some words didn't even make sense and where out of context, I used the dictionary a lot throughout the reading of this book, simply because I questioned my knowledge of a word I thought I understood. However I enjoyed the books, even if I did have to reread a lot of it to comprehend some of the text.
