They find Evan in 1942 London, ill and not quite sure what's happened. He remembers only one thing with crystal clarity -- the whereabouts of an artifact Hitler believes can win the war. That's information every Nazi spy in the country would kill to know.

As if saving Evan and surviving war-torn England weren't enough, the outcome of the war hinges on Simon and Elizabeth finding Evan's artifact before the Nazis do. But time is running out: for them, for London, for the world.

Ratings and reviews

The writing itself is clear, simple, and it gets the job done. The first chapter of the second book killed it for me though- they fight because she made a decision without his help and expressly wants to better her life and whines about him being overbearing and apologizes and meekly goes back to spineless lead woman. That's not a healthy relationship! It's sexy, yeah, it's a good fantasy. But I would probably just tell her to leave the adventuring sugar daddy, girl, find you a man who can leave you alone for one goddamn minute without worrying about you like you're a toddler.

A good writing style but some historical errors that a fan of time travel fiction should know or at least be able to research. I spent most of Book 3 wondering when the penny would drop.

The books are very captivating. The characters draw you in with Elizabeth's caring nature and Simon's over protectiveness lol makes them a great pair. First book getting to know the characters was lovely. Second book more details about the evolving of the situation making a great plot, show lots more about the limits of our characters. Third book got a little stale, but picked up and ended with you wanting more..... :-)

Monique was born in Houston, Texas, but her family soon moved to Southern California. She grew up on both coasts, living in Connecticut and California. She currently resides in Southern California with her naughty Siamese cat, Monkey.

Monique attended the University of Southern California's Film School where she earned a BFA from the Filmic Writing department. Monique worked in television for several years before joining the family business. She now works full-time as a freelance writer and novelist. 

She's currently working on an adaptation of one of her screenplays, her father's memoirs about his time in the Air Force's Air Rescue Service and the next book in the Out of Time series.
