Whether you are starting out on your IT security career or are an experienced IT veteran like myself, this is "the" must have guide for preparing for and gaining the first step in your CISSP certification, passing the exam. It provides thorough coverage of the 8 domains plus section quizzes, practice tests, access to a large test bank of questions and more simulated tests via Wiley efficient learning, which you get access to from purchasing the book. I would also recommend using it along with the supporting book of official practice tests, videos and resources from Mike Chapple online that also gives you an excellent grounding and/or revision on all 8 Domains, as well as the best technique for answering the challenging questions on the adaptive exam. A word of caution from an experienced IT veteran, if you are doing self-study, do not expect to pass this in a week or two of doing test questions and not taking the required time to study, even if you are working across all 8 domains in your daily job and think you know it all already. All you might do is burn valuable time from putting in the work up front and money on the expensive exam fee, which would have to be paid again for a re-sit. Best put in the work, as with anything else and you may be able to demonstrate enough knowledge and mastery of the 8 domains within the first 100 of the possible 150 questions of the challenging exam to achieve the 70% pass mark first time as I did.
