Mike Carey est le scenariste acclame de Lucifer et de Hellblazer, porte au cinema sous le titre Constantine. Il a longuement contribue aux series Marvel X-Men et Ultimate Fantastic Four. Il a egalement adapte en BD le roman de Neil Gaiman, Neverwhere. Il vit a Londres, avec sa femme, Linda, egalement romanciere et scenariste, leurs trois enfants, et un chat nomme Tasha.
