Finally, Wake and Paige get their happily ever after, but not before taking us through heart-wrenching angst. The great thing about these books is that through all of the drama, there are many humorous moments, The romance makes you feel giddy, young, and hopeful. There are a few surprises in the storyline and a significant loss. The Avynwood Pack rallies and takes care of its family. This is the first book in the Paranormal of Avynwood Series. Wake and Paige's road to happiness is not an easy one. Wake is afraid that he will hurt more of his pack mates is he mates with Paige. He knows she's fated mate but keeps rejecting her and it hurting them both in the process. I love the interactions among the friends. Emotional, funny, with some steam.
