This book reminded me of the basics of ATC. The information that is taught in an aviation school setting nationwide. Each part of the book gives a general synopsis of the various types of ATC in use today in America's ATC system. If you would like to learn, or recall what information it takes to learn the basics of atc, than this book is a good start to attaining basic knowledge and understanding

About the author

Michael S. Nolan is the author of the textbooks Fundamentals of Air Traffic Control, Basic Aircraft Science and A Career in Air Traffic Control. Prof. Nolan currently holds the rank of professor and has taught at Purdue University since 1978.  He holds a commercial pilot certificate as well as that of a certified flight instructor, airframe and powerplant mechanic, control tower operator and the national weather service limited aviation weather observer certificate.
