About this ebook

Mordecai's growing power and success have made him a threat, not just to the gods and their minions, but also to the king of Lothion. An unholy bargain has been struck to bring him to heel and increasingly it seems that victory may not be worth the price, not if the cost is measured in the blood of his family. Wizard, lord, husband, father, and now archmage... no man can balance so many roles without sacrificing something. Will the world be worth saving if it costs him the very reasons he has for living in it?

Loved it. The series has held my interest for quite some time though my interest and enjoyment had grown considerably since the first book as the intrigue and mystery grew. The concept it presents are a interesting take on magic and the way the book lays out its story makes it quite fun to guess at the mysteries the characters are trying to figure out. overall I say the story is very well told and I would recommend this book for anyone who enjoyed fantasy or the concepts of mages, this book offers that, some nicely inserted romance that doesn't take the intensity of romance novels but nonetheless gets you feeling for the characters, speaking of; the characters, mainly the protagonist, feel relatable. the way they emotionally and otherwise reacted to some of the situations seemed very similar to how some of us may react in their place, keyword being may. in any case I loved the book, will definitely be getting the rest of the series.

Michael Manning has written another masterpiece of storytelling that expands the chronicle of Mordecai Illeniel, the Archmage Unbound. The various plots and sub-plots of the previous volumes draw closer together, expanding and refining the story, giving it a natural evolution. Thoroughly dramatic, keeping the reader on the edge of their seat, it delivers a satisfying heroic tale of a young man's rite of passage under unusual and magical circumstances. I enjoyed it immensely!

Another marvelous addition to a story that is quickly becoming one of my favorites. If you've any doubts go ahead and treat yourself. You won't be disappointed. In fact, you will most likely be excited to read the next part of this highly recommended tale.
