About this ebook

Gorgeous. Challenging. Unforgiving.

Outfitter Chelsea Bishop understands the Shenandoah Wilderness. She appreciates its beauty and its danger. So when a client and his guide vanish during a backcountry camping and rafting expedition, she knows she'll need an expert's help to find them ... just so long as that expert is anyone other than Jake West, the man who broke her heart a decade ago.

Jake West sacrificed his personal happiness for the greater good a long time ago. The former pararescue specialist lives to save others, and he's damn good at it, too. When the only woman he's ever loved walks into Potomac Private Services, he refuses to assign the matter to anyone else.

Jake and Chelsea plunge into the wilderness together to find the missing men and land smack in the middle of a criminal conspiracy. When a storm rolls in, they're cut off from the outside world and in danger from ruthless criminals, the harsh landscape, and, maybe most of all, the memory of the passion they once shared.

Forced proximity and second-chance romance meet fast-paced suspense and gripping action in the fourth book in USA Today bestselling author Melissa F. Miller’s Shenandoah Shadows series.

I have enjoyed this series so far, and this was no exception. A short story, this one focuses on Chelsea and Jake. There's definitely a history here, and working together to find a missing person will bring all this history to the surface. This ends on a cliffhanger, but it'll be worth reading the next one, after that ending. Can't wait to see what happens!

Shenandoah Wilderness, the vastness to hike, canoes a paradise River Falls Outfitters owner Chelsea her full time guide is missing An Elite client wanted it all, 4 days 3 nights, both now missing Vance was a no nonsense guide, yet communicator was left on rock Something is wrong, cops, no the publicity would ruin her Potomac Private Services owner Jake West he insisted he was the best, trained for what they might encounter. It was worse than they could have imagine. A decade ago different paths were chosen by them. Now together they must work together to survive, just knowing the wilderness was only one thing Gripping plot, that pulls you in, how can they survive. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

Edge of my seat, thrilling page turner with a fantastic cliffhanger ending! I picked up Isolated by Melissa F Miller and began reading. Within the first few pages, I was hooked in to the story of Chelsea’s missing employee and client. Once she pulls Jake in to help her find them, and the storm set in, I could not turn the pages fast enough to find out what happened. As always, the characters and their relationships are so well developed that the reader feels like a participant in their story. As Vance is found, my heart settled in to comfort at a semi successful mission with a twinge of spidey senses tingling at a remaining loose end. I was in no way anticipating the ending and the cliffhanger in this book is one of legends. Now I can’t wait for “Imperiled” to release! Give yourself time to read this on in one sitting-you will not want to put it down
