About this ebook

Part-time journalist Beth Styles has been assigned the terrible task of reporting on one of Seattle’s most eligible bachelors. All she has to do is get in, get the story, and get out. Everything is going fine, until she opens her big mouth and challenges the man of the hour to a bet. Thank goodness the only thing on the line is her career. And her integrity. Oh, and her hand in marriage…

Real estate mogul Parker Stephenson likes to be in control, and he hates the press, so he’ll do anything to keep from ruining his reputation, including taking on this pretty, mouthy journalist. Even if that means promising – in front of thirty witnesses, no less – that he can make her fall in love with him in just 28 days. Too bad he can’t seem to take charge of her, the way he takes charge of everything else…

I can't help but feel that this book is missing something, though I can't really say what exactly. It contains some humour. And I like the general idea of the plot. But I can't say I love the characters. The author mostly focused on their bickering, while neglecting the serious moments and conversations. Other than that, the book also needs some editing.

Loved this one! This is the first book by this author I've read and I must say I really enjoyed her writing style. This was a great story with great characters, lots of humor, some very touching moments, and an overall entertaining read. Parker Stephenson is caught on tape making a pretty bold statement and that clip went viral! When Beth Styles is assigned the job of covering his press conference to discuss the tape by her editor, she can't believe her bad luck. She's pegged him as an arrogant jerk and doesn't really want to hear what he has to say. When he challenges her in front of all her colleagues that he can get her to fall in love with him in 28 days what can she do but take him up on the challenge! They are both determined to win but will either come out of it with their heart unbroken?? I definitely recommend this one.

Loved this story! Beth and Parker have strong chemistry and that, along with their verbal sparring kept me glued to the pages. Parker initially comes across as arrogant and chauvinistic with his boasting that he could train any woman to be a good wife, but we soon see that he has a soft side and he is almost endearing in his pursuit of Beth. There were several parts that had me chuckling aloud. A great book all around and definitely a must-read.
