I was expecting a more thrilling read from other reviews. There's too many parts that were not relevant to story and dragged on way to long. The main parts that were interesting were only vaguely touched on, could have been a great story but ended up just ok.

Not what I expected but was a brilliant story. I don't normally read this kind of book but thought I'd try it & it was a really good read. Kept me gripped right to the end.

About the author

Mel McGrath is an Essex girl, the author of the critically acclaimed and bestselling family memoir Silvertown. She won the John Llewellyn-Rhys/Mail on Sunday award for Best Writer Under 35 for her first book, Motel Nirvana. She has published three Arctic mysteries featuring the Inuit detective Edie Kiglatuk under the name MJ McGrath, the first of which, The Boy in the Snow, was shortlisted for a CWA Gold Dagger.
