I have enjoyed this author so much in the past that I thought I would love this too but that definitely wasn't the case. Ryan wrote Kelly a check when he kicked her out of his life but six months later, she still hasn't cashed it. He finds her working in a run down diner and heavily pregnant so he takes her home with him and tries to work through her betrayal of sleeping with his brother. So the blurb says that there's a secret but really that secret was shared at the time of the event so is it really still a secret? I didn't think Ryan did enough to come back from his transgressions: he let his family and friends treat Kelly poorly and expected her to just take it. I really struggled to finish this book but because I was about 80% through, I powered through the rest. I wonder if reading book one of this series would change my opinion about this one.
