About this ebook

THE HONORVERSE EXPANDS TO COMICS! Based on the bestselling military science-fiction novels by David Weber, this original comic book series introduces spaceship captain Honor Harrington on the eve of her execution. From prison, Honor relays her epic adventures, starting with a command outpost to a hellish backwater star system that ends up being the linchpin of an interstellar crisis that will bring war to her home planet. This series is part of a new multi-platform story world that includes a mobile game app to be released with the first issue and a feature film currently in development.

The single player is a good waste of time and fun to play in those minutes between things. The PvP though, is a complete bust as far as I am concerned. It appears a number of people have hacked the game and have invincible ships that can spit out huge numbers of missiles. I just played one guy and ne NEVER used any defenses, but nothing I sent his way ever touched him. I tried every type of missile. Then suddenly he sends about 50 missiles my way. Luckily he could not recycle that massive broadside very often so we had a stalemate going and he finally quit and gave me the victory. A number of other players seem to have way to fast a reload couple, with really ffast speed and with way to damaging missiles. I have tried all my best upgrades and there seems to be no combination of 3 of them that will do that..

I'm a long time Honorverse fan who really enjoyed this story. I really like the flashback model being used to tell the first instalment of this saga. The artwork is excellent giving a satisfyingly futuristic feel to the story. Not all the artwork follows cannon, in particular ship design and Nimitz. That being said the developers have explained why ship design differs from the books, that being for future cinematic considerations. And they have promised to make Nimitz's appearance change more in line with the books descriptions, although apparently not until after this current story arc. Overall I'd highly recommend this comic. It's an excellent introduction to a truly epic sci-fi story that will be expanding into multiple media formats. It's also an excellent fix for all the longtime David Weber/Honorverse junkies out there. Of course now in addition to wanting the next installment of the mainline story, I'll also be itching for the next comic issue. Such a cruel fate.
